Stories Sarah Tells

This summer we had the pleasure of working again with filmmaker Anne Marie Fleming. Her short film pays tribute to director, screenwriter and actress Sarah Polley.  This was screened at the 2013 Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards.

Guess Who’s Coming to Christmas

To repair his tarnished image, a jaded rock star publicly decides to fulfill a child’s “Dear Santa” Christmas wish. After reluctantly agreeing to spend the holidays in a small town and perform in the local holiday Christmas concert, he’s mortified at the prospect of staying in the home of an idyllic, close-knit family but soon realizes the true value in what they have – love, caring and a memorable holiday spirit.

Rukkus House’s Doug Paterson handled re-recording for this film.

Taking care of “Chi”

We had the pleasure this year of working on Anne Wheeler’s Documentary “Chi”, about well known actress Babs Chula’s last year of life.  Shot in India and Vancouver the film had plenty of audio challenges for us.

Werner Walcher shows us “Cold Paradise”

COLD PARADISE offers a rare insight into the lives of Filipino temporary workers and permanent residents in Canada’s Yukon.
This documentary chronicles their struggle to settle into the North as they cope with seperation from their kids and families, and a climate up to 70 degrees colder than their homeland.
Rukkus House handled all audio and music aspects, narration recording, dialogue edit, sound design and score.

Rukkus supports Children’s Wish Foundation

Brishkay Ahmed’s new Doc “Story Of Burqua” World Premiere at Doxa

Digital Cyclops drops in for some quality Voiceover at Rukkus!

Kevin Loh and the crew from Digital Cyclops were in Rukkus House to get the voiceover recorded for their current project. They needed to voice all the instructions for the Play MPE player.  Seann Schaffer did a great job as the voice.

Sound Design for Loudcrow Interactive IOS Apps
